iPads of iProfs Blog #03: Final Reflection

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Winston Churchill

Well, the 2013 PRLS iPads for iProfs professional development track is coming to an end. It has been a fun week. I learned a lot. I made a lot of new friends. I am actually kind of sad to see it end. Now that it is over, summer will officially begin. We will each go our separate ways. Who knows when we will meet again? The fall semester should bring most of us back to this campus. But what of our friend from KCC and our friend from WCC? Perhaps we will meet again next summer at the 2014 Pacific Region Learning Summit? Perhaps! We can only hope!

Thank you Brent!  Thank you Junie! You two were awesome! Thank you so much!

iPads of iProfs Blog #02: Nearpod

Today we learned how to use NearPod. What an awesome classroom teaching tool! In the course of our instruction I learned how I can use this cool tool to help my students learn the the basics of exposure. This topic causes my students' heads to explode! I hope that by using NearPod I will be able to help my students more readily "get" this very difficult topic. I am thrilled and excited by the possibilities of using NearPod in the classroom. This iPod for iProfs track is simply awesome! I am so glad I picked it!

iPads for iProfs Blog #01: Getting Started

Aloha! My name is Don.  I work at Leeward Community College. I am most familiar with the subjects that I teach: digital photography and digital art. I was given this iPad by the awesome Arts & Humanities Division for which I teach. They gave it to me to help me become an even better teacher. I am intrigued by the learning possibilities of integrating the iPad into my classrooms. I am looking forward to diving Shark's Cove this summer.
